Make Directors and Other Actors Love You - Best Actors' Advice

Getting back into acting after a long break wasn't a walk in the park, but I was ready for the challenge. In my recent chat on Kiersten Natis's podcast, "Acting Out," I talked about how moving to Germany and starting a family took me away from the acting world.

But a spur-of-the-moment decision to join a workshop reignited my passion and led me back to the industry. That experience was like a breath of fresh air and reminded me of my true calling. From that point, there was no looking back.

I also dive into how I tackled typecasting by creating my own material to showcase my range and change how the industry perceives me. Plus, I stress the importance of understanding the business side of acting from branding to networking, and how these strategies worked for me. And, After hitting some bumps in the road, I decided to invest in coaches for branding, marketing, and networking. I developed a strategy around five key pillars: mindset, branding, marketing, networking, and community.

This well-rounded approach has been a game-changer for my career, and it’s now a central part of what I share with other actors through my podcast, "Act Bold.

Balancing work between the US and European markets has been interesting. While the US offers more opportunities, working in Europe has its unique advantages. But, having a strong support system and being strategic about who I network with and the questions I ask has made all the difference.
